How to use this directory: Find your country alphabetically. “VERIFIED FREE” means the cited source explicitly documents free access. “VERIFIED” means take-home naloxone is documented, but cost, eligibility, and local coverage may vary. For fentanyl testing, many countries use professional drug-checking services instead of take-home strips.
Important: Naloxone temporarily reverses opioid overdose and does not replace emergency medical care. Drug-checking cannot guarantee a substance is safe, and fentanyl strips may not detect every potent synthetic opioid.

Global naloxone status. Harm Reduction International’s Global State of Harm Reduction 2024 reports take-home naloxone in 34 countries/territories. This directory uses that mapping as the global baseline; “no national free program verified” does not mean naloxone is unavailable through hospitals, pharmacies, charities, or local projects.

Europe. EUDA reported take-home naloxone programs in 19 European countries up to 2025, and provides current European harm-reduction data.

Drug checking in Europe. TEDI links participating drug-checking services across multiple European countries. These are not necessarily fentanyl-strip mail programs and fees/access rules can differ.

Australia. The Australian Government states naloxone is available free of charge and without prescription through participating Take Home Naloxone providers.
